I was born a long long time ago. When I was growing up our gaming console was pong. That's right, it was one game with a little ball on the screen that you hit back and forth. Sort of like ping pong. It was made by Atari and was released in 1972. Then along came the Atari console in 1977 which changed things tremendously. Well then life goes on and I grew up not finding much time to play anymore.
I was diagnosed with cancer in February 2015. I knew that I would be home a lot with going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I decided I needed something to occupy my time and my mind during those months of fighting cancer. I decided to get an Xbox One because it had simple games that I thought would be fun. I had no idea the fun I would have nor the great games I would discover.
Flash forward to January 2017 and I'm still putting up a fight with staying cancer free but I've also found other great fights in the many games you can play on Xbox One. Being diagnosed with cancer changes your perspective on life in so many ways. Gaming is a way to keep your mind active and help you forget about your troubles, if only for a little while.
Thanks bunches!
